DARE TO DREAM ARTS WINTER Program 2012
January 12 - March 15, 2012
Enroll NOW!

Middle and High School Programs
This winter/spring the Bayview Opera House will offer an exciting YouTube video class! The class is taught by the SF Art Institute's City Studio program and starts Thursday, February 2, 4:30-6:30. The class is open to up to 12 middle and high school students up to age 19. High school students may earn a need-based stipend to take the class. Class will run through mid-December.
Please apply here: www.citystudio.org
While learning how to use cameras and computers for videos, students will be challenged to use visual language and stop animation to tell stories about themselves, their community, the future, and imaginary lands. Students will be actors, directors, editors, and camerapeople, and will learn basic video editing in iMovie. Each student will make several videos and get to publish their work to YouTube.

Elementary-age and Preschool Programs
Our DARE TO DREAM ARTS youth enrichment program offers a rich variety of classes in media arts such as digital photography and video, traditional arts such as music, dance and painting as well as classes that help kids stay healthy like gardening, cooking and yoga.

Each class takes place once per week for 1 hour, and kids are welcome to take more than one class. Preschool age classes are one hour as well, divided into two half hour blocks.

After school care and preschool providers in zip codes 94124 and 94134 are invited to sign up groups now for weekly enrichment classes, which are offered free of charge, though monetary contributions are certainly much appreciated.

Preschool classes take place in the morningd 10-11AM or by arrangement.

School-age individual children and teens can also sign up for individual classes taking place Tuesday and Wednesday 4-5PM, and Thursdays from 3-5PM

Special field trips will be offered throughout the year.
